Vision

Our mission is to foster the development of a democratic, secular, inclusive, and rights-oriented South Asia where diversity is honored, institutions are held accountable, and every individual can exist with dignity, freedom, and equal opportunity.

South Asian Discourses aims to establish itself as a premier platform for critical scholarship, public intellectual discourse, and regional conversation, connecting academia, policy, and civil society. We foresee a South Asia characterized by free discourse on ideas, evidence-based public policy, enhanced democratic engagement, and the safeguarding of human rights for all communities.

We want to cultivate a future where pluralism is esteemed, social justice is promoted, and international collaboration promotes peace, mutual understanding, and sustainable development across the area.

Through fostering informed discourse and elevating different perspectives, we seek to motivate a generation of scholars, practitioners, and citizens dedicated to creating a more just, equitable, and democratic South Asia.
